The board of directors of Cameron-based Classic Bank NA has appointed John D. Minor chief executive officer and chairman of the board. He previously served as president and chief lending officer. Minor is a third-generation banker with more than 30 years of banking experience in Central Texas.Prior to joining Classic Bank, he was senior vice president and lender at First National Bank of Central Texas in Waco. Minor holds a BBA degree in finance from Baylor University.
The Classic Bank board also announced the promotion of Lisa Kerschner to chief lending officer, as well as the naming of regional presidents for the bank’s seven locations:Gary Pietsch, Giddings and Thorndale; Justin Tucker, Rosebud, Cameron and Rockdale; and Mark Lehnick, Bastrop and Liberty Hill.
Established in 1889, Classic Bank is a family-owned community bank that serves Bastrop, Cameron, Giddings, Rockdale, Rosebud, Thorndale and Liberty Hill.
