Overview[]

The OVERKILL glove was added on March 31st, 2021, and it is 1 of the gamepass gloves. It costs 799 Robux (It used to be 666, possibly due to 666 being regarded as the Devil’s number, which relates to this glove as it has a hellish, fiery theme. Afterwards changed to 999) It has INFINITE stats (Estimated 300 for power), most likely because this glove can kill people by instantly depleting their health, and the fact that there is no cooldown for the speed. Its passive is Hot Touch.

This glove has a texture of lava, with the fire effect emitted from, it also can be argued as one of the most overpowered gloves in the game, until a Shard, Ice or Snow user slaps it.

Ability[]

The passive, “Hot Touch,” completely depletes the health of anyone who is touched or slapped by the glove, either sending them insane distances or killing them instantly. The slap sound effect is a louder version of the God's Hand slap sound effect and shakes everyone's screen (unless they turn off Screen Shake in the settings). It also creates an explosion effect of fire when slapping someone. But when slapped by Snow, Ice, Iceskate's ice, Shard, shot by Shard's ability, hit by snowballs from Snowball's turret or by Santa's Snow Peep, the hit effect will continue to play but the fire that surrounds the glove will disappear and it will no longer one-shot other players for around 10 seconds. While in this state, users will only slap with 45 power, and the glove's speed will no longer be infinite until the effect is over.

Trivia[]

• A song is emitted from it; to hear it, go in first person with it equipped, or get slapped by an Error user. The song is BFG Division.
• This was originally 666 Robux, being the same of what some people consider it as the devil's or beast's number. But it was changed to 999 Robux, making it the most expensive glove again after being dethroned by the CUSTOM glove. 999 may still relate to 666 by it simply be upside down.

• 

  If you look behind the stand, you will see Grug, a Slap Battles contributor, being slapped by OVERKILL.
  • Previously, the decal was Eminem holding a boombox. It was removed without reason, possibly because of copyright.
• Once hitting someone, it used to play Super Mario screaming, however it was removed, most likely due to Roblox's audio update.
• OVERKILL was originally an admin glove, having an active ability and was much stronger. It used to light you on fire and give you super speed, as stated by Snow in the change logs channel in the Discord server.
• This is possibly the most hated glove in the entire game due to it being a one-shot that is locked behind a paywall.
• It's not recommended to use first person with this glove equipped on lower end or low memory devices, as the particles can cause the user's end to lag and/or crash altogether.
• The sign on the plate has a text that says, "OVERKILL is cringe" (maybe referring to the nickname that the community gave to this glove, "OVERCRINGE", due to its annoying nature).
• There is an extended OVERKILL in the old trailer, mix of this glove and Extended.
• Although the stand says it has infinite power and speed, the power is estimated to be 300, and the speed is infinite because there is no CPS limit.
• The gamepass icon was changed on December 27, 2022.

  The Easter Egg behind this glove's stand was changed on February 3, 2023, now showing Grugoss, one of Tencell's friend, crossed, with OVERKILL near it, because OVERKILL kills.
• The user has no control over the speed, so they may accidentally slap a player without slapping.
• Your glove stick will still glow red even if your glove has cooled down.
• While most cold-related gloves can disable OVERKILL's passive with a slap, Snowball can't.
• This is the only gamepass glove to get its banner changed.
  • This was reverted on June 4 for unknown reasons.
    • The banner was brought back two days later on June 6.
• This is the 1st gamepass glove to emit particles when equipped, the 2nd being Spectator, and the 3rd being Ultra Instinct.
• This is the 1st gamepass glove that is a one-shot, the second technically is CUSTOM.
• This glove was referenced in the game's description: "... so don't be surprised if you spot someone complaining about some hand that I'm pretty sure originated from hell itself."
• This glove is required to get the following badges and/or gloves:
  • Firefighter (Shard)
  • Underkill (Flamarang)
  • Incredible Running Man (Sparky)
    • This also means this is the ONLY gamepass glove that is needed to get gloves, as using CUSTOM to get the ULTRAROCK badge is purely optional.
• Along with other true one-shots, anyone hit with the Reaper/Killstreak glove recently, and then OVERKILL will still give the Reaper/Killstreak the kill.
• This glove gained its passive ability of infinite speed on April 20, 2021.

• This is the first glove that can have its speed and power changed when slapped by other gloves and their abilities (Nightmare, Snow, Ice, Shard, Santa, and Snowball). The other is Thor (when slapped by or hit with the abilities of Stun, Chain, a different Thor).
• The glove has the same speed as Ultra Instinct and Rhythm.
• This glove can be obtained before playing Slap Battles for the first time, due to how you can buy gamepasses in the store menu.
• This glove got redesigned in August 11, 2023. It also emits an effect when you slap a player, even when extinguished.
• OVERKILL is one of the few gloves with a GIF on its banner, the others being Stun, Swapper, Phase, and Killstreak.
  • This animated banner can still be seen faintly in the background of the new banner.
• There used to be a bug that upon slapping, the sound effect cannot be heard at all.
  • The same would happen with God's Hand, Berserk, Phase 5 & 7 Killstreak, and 80+ power in Slap Royale.
• OVERKILL's banner is actually transparent in the game's files, however in-game it has a red gradient background to animate it.
• There used to be a bug that makes OVERKILL, along with Ultra Instinct and Spectator free.
  • Because of this, 26850 players (number may vary depend on your time zones) got Flamarang that day.
• There is a glitch Involving Voodoo and any glove that can extinguish OVERKILL: the Voodoo user must use their ability to create a doll of the OVERKILL user then the doll needs to get hit by anything that can extinguish OVERKILL. Once done, the OVERKILL user will be extinguished forever until they either leave or die.
  • If Snow's, Shard's or Snowball's abilities were to hit the voodoo doll, the OVERKILL user would also get slowed down until their walkspeed gets changed by any mean.
  • This is considered bug abusing so DONT DO IT.
• OVERKILL's Price changed to 799 on February 5th, 2024, along with CUSTOM, Ultra Instinct, and Cannoneer. Although Spectator got a price increase.
• This is one of the many gloves which names are all capitalized. The others are: MEGAROCK, ZZZZZZZ, T H I C K, CUSTOM, STOP, [REDACTED], CULT, RNG, BOBBLE, and TABLE.
• The glove is more of a bright orange color when equipped on mobile.
